Family Groups
As we continue to work on our plans for the introduction of Family Groups please continue to pray for us as a parish as we look forward to bringing this new initiative to our Church community.
Next week we will have guest speakers at all Masses explaining a bit more about the Family Groups.

SYNOD 2020 PRAYER
Father, we thank you for the love you have shown us
in the gift of Jesus, your Son.
We thank you for the gift of the Church,
through which you show us that you are always with us
and are always at work in our lives.
As we journey together to Synod 2020
help us to become the Church
that you are calling us to be.
May your Holy Spirit be powerfully at work among us.
Strengthen each of us
and guide Francis, our Pope,
and Malcolm, our Archbishop.
Help us to respond
to the challenges of our times in new ways
to bring your love to all our sisters and brothers.
We make this prayer through Jesus Christ Our Lord. AMEN

EASTER CARDS TO THE HOLY LAND, 2019
The contact details for parishes in the Holy Land are available this week-end, a little later than usual, but we hope that your response will be no less enthusiastic. We have sent over 2,000 cards from our Pastoral Area in past years and we know that they are really well received as a measure of our support in the difficult climate in which parishes are struggling today.
Please remember to return your cards to the back of church so that the Justice and Peace Group can post them off to the Latin Patriarchate which will ensure that they reach their destination. Feel free to include your own address, if you wish, and there are greetings in Arabic for you to enclose with your cards. Thank-you.

PARISH MASS ASSOCIATION
The cost for enrolment in the Mass Association and Card is £7.50. To enrol and purchase a card, please fill in a Mass Association slip and place in envelop with donation. Holy Mass and prayers will be offered for all people enrolled in the Mass Association once a month for 12 months.
There will also be special remembrances for the Mass Association at Christmas, Easter and on the Feast Days of St Thomas of Canterbury & Our Lady Star of the Sea.

Resurrection Candles
We will again seek to light up our Churches in Easter Week with candles dedicated to our loved ones who we wish to offer special prayers for this Easter. These 7 day candles can be lit for all our loved ones both alive and dead as a sign of our prayers for them during the great feast of Easter.
THE FINAL DATE FOR SUBMITTING INTENTIONS FOR A CANDLE WILL BE THE 14TH APRIL. Forms available at the back of Church. Please include donation of £5 per candle requested.

From Kenny’s Desk (our Pastoral Associate)
It’s been a busy week! I’ve finished the first module of my diploma in Pastoral Leadership and Ministry and looking forward to starting the next module. We are still working on the website (details on the front) and I have had a really good meeting with Our Lady Star of the Sea school.
