Further news on both Star and St Thomas Family Groups events coming up in the near future. As mentioned in last weeks newsletter, Star Family Group will be coming together for a picnic in the gardens opposite the Royal Hotel in Crosby Waterloo, on Saturday 13th July at 1pm. If you haven’t took part yet, please come along as it’s a very warm and welcoming group.
St Thomas’ Family Group will be having a Board Games afternoon on Saturday 13th July in the Canterbury Room at 1pm. This will be a great opportunity to come together and have some fun. If you have any board games to bring or even donate for future games afternoons, please come along. This is another very warm and welcoming group and it’s a great opportunity build friendships from the faces you see in church every week.

Please note our next Liturgy Group meeting is 7pm on 30th July in the Canterbury Room at St Thomas’. If you’re curious about how we celebrate the Liturgy or have some ideas, please come along as we’re always looking for more of our parish community to give their thoughts and ideas.
If you are planning for your child to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion next year, we will be having a meeting at St Thomas of Canterbury Church on Tuesday 9th July 6:30pm. It’s important you attend this meeting to find out information and to ask any questions you may have.

All Parishioners are invited to celebrate 40 yrs of priesthood with Fr Edward Cain on Friday, 12th July, 2019 at St Ambrose Parish, Heathgate Avenue, Speke
L24 7RS. The celebration will start with Mass at 7:00 pm.

THERE IS NO MASS ON THURSDAY AT ST THOMAS OF CANTERBURY AS I HAVE A RETREAT DAY WITH CHILDREN FROM ST EMUND & ST THOMAS SCHOOL.

ALTAR WINE/BREADS: Parishioners are invited to make a donation of £10 for altar wine/breads in memory of a loved one. Please place your donation in an envelope with the intention and Church and place it on the collection plate or drop it off at the parish office.

PARISH MASS ASSOCIATION
The cost for enrolment in the Mass Association and Card is £7.50. To enrol and purchase a card, please fill in a Mass Association slip and place in envelop with donation. Holy Mass and prayers will be offered for all people enrolled in the Mass Association once a month for 12 months. There will also be special remembrances for the Mass Association at Christmas, Easter and on the Feast Days of St Thomas of Canterbury & Our Lady Star of the Sea

BAPTISM COURSE (UP TO YR 2)
If you want your Child Baptised you must fill in a baptismal request form (and leave your details for Parish Catechists to arrange a visit), be attending Mass regularly and attend a baptismal course. Dates only booked after course. Please make sure you have completed forms prior to the course. The next course will take place at 7:00pm on Monday, 1st July at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church.
