Bambinelli Sunday: December 15, 2019 Mass

This year we will celebrate “Bambinelli Sunday” at our Masses on Saturday night and Sunday morning, December 14/15. All are invited to bring the Baby Jesus figure from their homes to Mass that morning to be blessed. A suggestion is, following the blessing, take your “bambinelli” home and place it in a gift box, wrap it, and save it for Christmas.

From the Desk of Kenny –

I had the pleasure of joining our joint parish RCIA group in attending the Synod2020 talk at Hope University last Monday. It was a great talk from Stephen Davies on Complex Catholicism: Discovering the Reality of Young Catholics in England and Wales. One of the biggest things I took away from it was that sometimes unknowingly and unintendedly, we lose focus in truly welcoming people – young and old. Statistics showed us a lot of young people steered away from actively being involved in parish communities as they didn’t feel like they fit in. With great thanks to the input from our Liturgy group over the last six months, we’ll be focusing on different aspects of welcome in our Liturgy in the very near future.
